He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Whitmire and Johnny Whitmire. He is survived by: his children, Amanda (Matt Prudden), Candice (Max Ayala), Jason (Lauren Whitmire), Carly (Mike Phillips) and Chris (Amanda Whitmire); his brother Ken (Vikki Whitmire); his nephew Kevin (Tisha Whitmire); and his wife Kathy McClendon.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Winscott Road Funeral Home (1001 Winscott Rd, Benbrook, TX 76126). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Willow Springs Cemetery (602 Mikus Rd, Weatherford, TX 76087).
