It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Houston Edwards of Benjamin, Texas, who passed away on April 5, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Willie Dudley Edwards and Carrie Ruth Edwards; his siblings, Mary Ruth Holley, Doris E. Zimmerman, James W. Edwards of Reverend, W. N. and Col. John R. Edwards; and his pet Buster.

He is survived by : his wife Judith S. Edwards; his children, Dee Edwards McBride and Alison Edwards Engel (Brad); his grandchildren, Carl M. Engel (McKenzie), Michael Houston McBride, Elizabeth B. Englin (Tyler), Judith Grace Engel and Katelyn E. Engel; his great grandchildren, Liam T. Engin and Declan J. Englin; his brother Michael L. Edwards (Charlette); and his pet Gus. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home, Inc. (2900 Citizens Pkwy, Selma, AL 36701). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

The family will accept flowers, or you may consider memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
