The memory of Marie Phillips of Big Lake, Texas, who passed away on December 7, 2025 at the age of 94, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, H. K. Young and Annie Rosemond Young; her husband James Ervin Phillips, Sr.; her son Willie Earl Young; and her siblings, Charlie Salter, Arthur Young, James Petty, Mae Jewel Pellum, Clara Ellison, Bernice Wells and Lula Colbert.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Joe Phillips (Juanita) of Big Lake, James Phillips (Diane) of Big Lake and Dorothy Phillips of California; her sister Bettey Spencer; her grandchildren, Jennifer Phillips, Paula Phillips, Leticia Phillips, Eric Phillips, Katherine Jones (Nate) of Odessa, Joshea Holt, TJ Young, Tyler Doege, Tiffany Young and Lori Shaw; and her daughter-in-law Barbara Doege (Willie Earl Young). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Glen Rest Cemetery (460 TX-137, Big Lake, TX 76932).
