He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Dance Garrett and Frances Eleanor Fowler Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Helen Garrett; his children, Bobby Garrett (Sheri) and Shelley Gabriel (Barry); his stepsons, Charles Turner, Brandon Turner and Bradford Turner; his sisters-in-law, Kathryn Garrett, Lillian Garrett, Janet Wilson and Ruth Richards; and his grandchildren, Jacob Garrett, Zackary Martin, Caleb Garrett, Brandon Martin, Alexandria Parker, Michael Turner, Brayden Turner, Jordan Gabriel, Braden Gabriel and Tucker Gabriel. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
