It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Lawrence Smith (Big Sandy, Texas), who passed away on December 4, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sara Smith and Ballard Smith; his wife Connie Smith; his brothers, Ron and Jim Smith; and his grandson Thomas Harper.
He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth; his son-in-law Kevin Smith; his son Bill; his daughter-in-law Angie Smith; his grandchildren, Ryan Carter, Kelsey Carter, Matthew Smith and Dylan Smith (Sol Smith); his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Kasi, Kinnedy, Kindyl, Mariella, Beverly, Salem, Mera, Arthur and Juniper; his siblings, Phil, Lisa, Janet and Annie; Lawson.
A funeral service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Croley Funeral Home (401 N Center St, Gladewater, TX 75647). A burial was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Gladewater Memorial Park (4716 US-80, Big Sandy, TX 75755).
