He was predeceased by: his father Dean Horton; his stepmother Sandi Horton; and his stepbrother David Kennedy. He is survived by: his wife Bernice Horton; his mother Charlie Kennedy; his siblings, Kerry Horton (Sandi), Tami Horton and Jodi Befu; his children, Corrina (Cole Creek), Jesse (Belinda Horton), Shane Knowlton and Megan Miller; his grandchildren, Christian (Aimee Horton), Cheyanne (Julius Galaviz), Kristiano and Jordan Corley; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Isla, Amelia Horton, Jace and Jaxson Galaviz. He is also survived by two nephews and a great niece.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Myers & Smith Funeral Home & Chapel (301 E 24th St, Big Spring, TX 79720). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
