She was predeceased by: her husband Isaiah Edwards; her parents, Helen Threats and Charles Peterson; her siblings, Joyce Molett, Doris Lewis, Larry Peterson, Cecil Johnson, Gary Peterson and Arthur Threats; and her great grandchildren, Saniya Dean and Zamarion Byars.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Peterson of Odessa, Jerry Rushin (Ethel) of Big Spring, Rodney Rayford (Sara) of Big Spring, Tameka Dixon of Big Spring, Kourtnee Stanger (Kerry) of Big Spring, Nicholas Rushin (Kristina) of Big Spring and Nichole Negron (Manny); and her sister Mary Threats. She is also survived by 45 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Myers & Smith Funeral Home & Chapel (301 E 24th St, Big Spring, TX 79720). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Life Church (1004 Johnson St, Big Spring, TX 79720).
