He was predeceased by : his parents, Evangelina Yanez and Delfino Yanez; and his brother Delfino Yanez. He is survived by : his wife Juana Yanez (Janie) of Big Spring; his children, Stephen Yanez of Big Spring and Lucia Huitt (Casey) of Coahoma; his grandchildren, Isabelle Huitt and Tristan Huitt; and his siblings, Guerrero Yanez, Nicolas Yanez, Ricardo Yanez, Socorro Yanez, Maria Yanez and Guadalupe Yanez. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Myers & Smith Funeral Home & Chapel (301 E 24th St, Big Spring, TX 79720). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM.
