Inez Islas Obituary

She was predeceased by: her husband Val Islas, Jr.; her children, Benny Islas and Sandy Solis; her daughter-in-law Cindy Islas; her granddaughter Andrea Uranga; and her siblings, Esteven Ontiveros, Cresencio Ontiveros, Isabell Martinez and Susanna Aguire.

She is survived by: her children, Debbie Uranga (Ambrosio) of Coahoma, Royce Islas (Cynthia) of Big Spring, Val Islas of Big Spring and Denny Islas (Sandra) of Garland; and her sister Rufina Zepeda of Houston. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Myers & Smith Chapel (301 E 24th St, Big Spring, TX 79720). A vigil service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1009 Hearn St, Big Spring, TX 79720).
