She was predeceased by: her husband Dale Kirkpatrick; her brother James Durwood Buchanan; and her great grandchild Nolan Zane Garcia. She is survived by: her sister Marlene Matheny of Virginia; her children, Martin Kirkpatrick of Big Spring and Kellye Kirkpatrick (Jackie Garcia) of Allen; her grandchildren, Kristy Kirkpatrick, Leon Garcia (Erica), Dawna Barker, Eric Garcia and Travis Atkins; and her great grandchildren, Leon, Jacob, Aiden Garcia, Emilee and Conner Barker.
