He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Freeman, Sr. and Christine Curry Freeman. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hoover Freeman; his sons, Kevin Freeman (Karen) and Chad Freeman (Kara); his grandchildren, Chandler Wigington (Tyler), Sterling Freeman, Ross Freeman (Angie) and Ty Freeman (Zoie Herring); his great grandchild Wyatt Hoover Wigington; and his sisters, Edith Franklin (Carl) and Clara Chisholm. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Chairman John Freeman Scholarship at Howard College (Trades Area).
