He is survived by: his wife Margarita Rivas; his children, Dahlia Rivas, Patrick Rivas, Alyssa Jo Rivas (Danny Atkinson), Julie Rivas and Bridget Rivas; his grandchildren, Ariella Juarez (Daniel), Cristian Garrett, Connor Garrett, Brayden Garrett, Camron Rivas and Justus Rivas; his great grandchildren, Kyla Juarez, Maya Juarez and Indy Juarez; and his sisters, Ofelia Ruiz, Mirta Padilla and Mary Rivas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Myers & Smith Funeral Home & Chapel (301 E 24th St, Big Spring, TX 79720). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at the Mt. Olive Cemetery (310 Nolan St, Big Spring, TX 79720).
