It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kathryn (Katie) Chitwood of Big Spring, Texas, born in Leonard, Texas, who passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Leslie and Winnie Davis Abernathy; her son Mark Edward Chitwood; and her siblings, T. L. Abernathy, Jr. and Frances Abernathy.
She is survived by : her daughter Kay Daniel (Tab) of Lubbock; her grandsons, Kody Johnson of Littlefield, Kris Johnson of Fort Worth and Kalder Johnson (Kara) of Lubbock; and her great grandchildren, Elliot Cox, Ledger Johnson, Henrietta Johnson, Judge Johnson, Milo Johnson and Truett Johnson. She is also survived by children and grandchildren a big part of her family.
