He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominga Hernandez and Jesus Hernandez; his sons, Luis Hernandez, Jr. and George Hernandez; and his brothers, Jesus Hernandez and Selistino "Pepe" Hernandez.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Hernandez; his children, Frank Hernandez, Phillip Hernandez and Elizabeth Hernandez; and his sisters, Mary Gomez, Esther Hernandez, Rosa Aguirre and Juanita Walton. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Myers & Smith Funeral Home & Chapel (301 E 24th St, Big Spring, TX 79720). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
