She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Sherman and Pearlie Lue Sherman (Brooks); her husband Wilmit Edward "Ed" Wilkerson; and her siblings, Joe Sherman, Jr., Omar Sherman and Alma "Sis" Sherman.
She is survived by: her children, James Wilkerson (Beverly), Ryan Wilkerson, Brenda Chavez (Joaquin), Lesa Clark and Sandra Carey. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
