He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Denby Sliger and May Sliger (Glover); and his wife Lynda Sliger (Cobb). He is survived by: his children, Samuel Kenneth Sliger, Jr. (Jan), Tim T. Sliger and Lori Lynn Tafoya (James); his grandchildren, Susan Seymor (Mitch), Tyler Tafoya (Brittany), Amber Tafoya (Jon) and Lyndi Sliger; and his siblings-in-law, Danny Cobb (Myrna) of Lubbock and Ginger Lanye (DeWayne) of Hobbs. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel (906 S Gregg St, Big Spring, TX 79721).
