Edward Falls D.D. Sr. Obituary
With hearts filled with thanksgiving and praise to God, we celebrate the triumphant homegoing of Bishop Roosevelt Edward Falls, Sr., D.D., a visionary leader, an anointed preacher, a spiritual father, and a true general in the army of the Lord. Bishop Falls was the Founder and Pastor of Bible Deliverance Church Inc. In Queen City, Texas. Where he faithfully labored alongside his beloved wife, Evangelist Jacqueline D. Falls, preaching deliverance, restoration, and the saving power of Jesus Christ.
Born on April 3, 1939, Bishop Falls was the fourth of seven children born to the late Augusta Falls and the late Nathan Falls Jr. He was lovingly raised by his grandmother, the late Ida Gertrude Brown, whose faith, wisdom, and nurturing spirit helped shape the foundation of his extraordinary life and ministry. He was preceded in death by his siblings Herman Falls, Mack Falls, Flora Falls (Eddie), Benjamin Fals (Joyce), Nathan Falls III, and Mamie Falls (Joe); and son Roosevelt Falls II.
At the age of 12, Bishop Falls received the Holy Ghost under the pastoral leadership of the late Bishop Charles Harrison Mason in Holly Springs, Mississippi, founder of the Churches of God in Christ. This divine encounter marked the beginning of a lifelong calling to preach the Gospel and serve God's people.
Bishop Falls pursued higher education at Rust College, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in history, and later received a Doctorate in Divinity, along with numerous certifications. Widely known and affectionately called Rev. R. E. Falls, he was ordained under the late Bishop Benjamin Crouch of the Metropolitan Jurisdiction of Southern California, the founder of Christ Memorial Church in Pacoima, Los Angeles.
Answering the call of God, Bishop Falls founded National Outreach Crusade Restoration Revival, Inc. Under a non-denominational charter and went on to found and pastor more than five churches. He preached across denominational and non-denominational lines, ministering in sanctuaries, revival tents, and open fields, leading thousands of souls to Christ through his faithful obedience.
In a divine appointment, an unexpected accident in Texarkana, Texas led Bishop Falls to meet Jacqueline Denise James, daughter of the late Martha James and Artis James Jr. Their forty-four-year marriage was a powerful testimony of love, faith, and partnership in ministry. From this union, they were blessed with five children: Victoria, Antwyn (Tiffany), Stephanie (Bleriot) LeAundra, and Roosevelt Edward Falls II.
Bishop Falls leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of forty-four years, Evangelist Jacqueline D. Falls; his sister Katie Falls Reine, sister-in-law Almena Falls, his beloved children Florence, Edward, Tawan, Darrin, Renata, Tabitha, Tracy, Clark, Daniel, McKelly, Cruse, Rolley, Victoria, Antwyn (Tiffany), Stephanie (Bleriot), and LeAundra; his cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; extended family members; spiritual sons and daughters; the faithful members of Bible Deliverance Church; and a host of loved ones and friends whose lives were forever touched by his ministry.
