We are sad to announce that on July 4, 2025, at the age of 78, Elvira Corkill of Bishop, Texas, born in San Benito, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Corkill and Dolores Cortez Corkill; her son Michael Louis Villarreal; her husband Arnold Villarreal; her former husband Marcelino Moreno; and her siblings, Elizabeth C. Tricks (Tom), Michael Wayne Corkill, William Stafford Corkill and Joseph Benedict Corkill.
She is survived by: her children, Selina Anne Villarreal, Joseph Arnold Corkill and Joe Danial Amaya; and her siblings, Gloria Corkill (Gene Naquin), Luci Corkill (Timothy Hedgecock), Dolores Dowden, Frank Corkill and David L. Corkill. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Thomae-Garza Funeral Home (395 S Sam Houston Blvd, San Benito, TX 78586). A rosary will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Benedict Catholic Church (351 S Bowie St, San Benito, TX 78586). The inurnment will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mont Meta Memorial Park (6501 Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77007).
