John B. Ross Obituary

John B. Ross, age 63, of Blanket, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Sunday, June 22, 2025. Family will receive friends at Heartland Funeral Home on Friday, June 27, from 6 until 8PM. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, June 28, at 4th and Stewart Church of Christ in Brownwood. Burial will follow at 3:30PM at Bear Creek Cemetery in Bertram.

John was born on June 15, 1962 in Abilene to Joan Helen and Edward Dewitt Ross. He married the love of his life, Tammie A. Ross on July 1, 2009 in Brownwood. Together, John and Tammie were faithful members of the 4th and Stewart Church of Christ in Brownwood. He was a rancher for many years in many areas throughout his life. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and guns. Above all else, John loved his family.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Tammie Ross; sons, Kevin Ross and wife Felicia, and Vernon Zier; 2 grandchildren, Ayden Duran and Ava Ross; and his brother, James Ross. John is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
