He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramon Galvan and Angelita Vasquez Galvan; his brothers, Ramon Galvan, Johnny Galvan and Macky Galvan; and his sons, Candelario Galvan Jr. and Jesse Galvan.
He is survived by: his wife Irma Galvan; his children, Jose Luis Galvan Sr. of Blessing, Angelina Galvan of Blessing and Amelia Aguilar (Armando) of Blessing; and his siblings, Jimmy Galvan, Regina Sanchez and Hilaria "Lala" Longoria. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
