It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Garza Valdez of Bloomington, Texas, who passed away on August 28, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Garza and Candida Olivarez Garza Paz; her son Ralph Valdez; and her siblings, Marcela Ramirez, Janie Moreno, Delia Garza Salazar, Daniel Garza, Jr., Antonio Garza, Baldemar Garza, Lorenzo Garza, Toribio Garza and Felix Paz.
She is survived by: her husband David M. Valdez; her children, Rachel Valdez, Rebecca Barrios (David) and David "Roland" Valdez (Mary); her sisters, Ofelia Ragusin (Rick) and Mary Paz Gottsponier (Harry); and her grandchildren, Marcus Castillo, Joseph Castillo, India Castillo, David "Wedo" Barrios, III, Chris Barrios and Ryan Valdez.
