We are sad to announce that on June 10, 2025, at the age of 92, Joyce Bernice Rust of Boerne, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Joyce Bernice departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Joyce Bernice may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joyce Bernice leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Rust and Winnie Rust; and her siblings, Dorothy Beck, Gilbert and Edgar Rust.
She is survived by: her siblings, Mildred Chiesa of California and James Rust (Betty) of New Jersey. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, and good friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Holt & Holt Funeral Home (319 E San Antonio Ave, Boerne, TX 78006). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Boerne Cemetery (820 N School St, Boerne, TX 78006).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pleasant Valley Community Center (mailing address 15 FM3351 N, Bergheim, TX 78004) to honor Joyce's memory.
