He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nolan Smith and Gayle C. Smith; his wife Sue; his sons, Alexander (Dena), David (Jessica) and Andrew; the mother of his children Sarah Undiemi; his grandchildren, Ezra, Judah and Vera; his siblings, Suzanne, Daniel and John; his brother-in-law Rob Maas (Dedra); his nephews, Ben Cooper, Alan Cooper (Charlene) and Gunnar Maas; and his aunts, Mary Harrison and Jean Wehr (Rolf).
A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (631 S School St, Boerne, TX 78006).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Boerne to be designated for The Legacy Campaign or to the American Red Cross to be designated for the Hill Country flood relief.
