He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Wasson and Vivian Wasson (Chesney); his wife Katherine (Kathy); his siblings, Evelyn, Mary Jane, Shirley, Christina, Stanley and Paul; his nephew Brian; and his brother-in-law Earl Peterson.
He is survived by: his daughter Tiffany Gill-Teich (Bernie); his grandson Joshua Gill; his siblings, Dorothy, Carolyn, Patty, Lou and Robert (Jeannie); his brother-in-law Stanley Corson (Wendy); his siblings' children, Brad Corson (Amanda) and Melissa McKeon (Connor); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Owen McKeon, Evie McKeon and Cyra Corson.
Instead of floral remembrances, the family suggests that donations can be made to Retama Park Racetrack Chaplaincy to honor Gene's memory.
