He was predeceased by: his father Berton Shafer. He is survived by: his mother Norma Shafer; his wife Cynthia Shafer; his children, Nick Shafer (Taylor Anne) and Lauren Shafer; his granddaughter Madeline Shafer; his brothers, Doug Shafer (Charmaine) and Kevin Shafer (Carol); and his in-laws, Rudy, Mary Alice Guajardo, Yvonne Berne (Chris) and Mark Guajardo. He is also survived by many cousins and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at 11703 Huebner Rd #208, San Antonio, TX 78230.
