She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Charles William, MD and Frances Walter Edmonds (Walter); her brother Dr. Charles William Edmonds Jr.; her sister-in-law Shirley Yardley Edmonds; and her caregiver Col. Lola Mae Ball (Retired).
She is survived by: her nephews, Charles Daniel Edmonds, Mark William Edmonds and Dr. Paul; her niece Linda Jean Edmonds Lee; her friends, Debbie Vetter, Ede Day and Martha Hawkins; her caregivers, Debbie Vetter, Jennifer Murro, Dawn Lancaster and Kady Lancaster; Terry Livingston.
She also served on the boards of the Boerne Cemetery Foundation, Hill Country Women in Business, Boerne Concert Band, Visit Boerne Advisory Board, and the Society of Retired Air Force Nurses. Bettie received several lifetime honors including 1985 "Citizen of the Year" from the Boerne Chamber of Commerce, and in 1987 she was honored with a resolution from the Texas Legislature for her significant contributions to her community and the State of Texas in the fields of history, art, and leadership.
