He was predeceased by : his parents, Eugene Richard Ganske and Frances H. Bialas Ganske; his wife Dorothy Urner Ganske; and his siblings, Hildegard Farmer, Rose Moore and George Ganske.

He is survived by : his son Melvin (Sheryl Ganske) of Boling; and his granddaughters, Lauren Rae Seiler and Sierra Mae Ganske.
