It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darrel Wayne Shelton (Borger, Texas), who passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Darrel leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Darrel may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Frances Palmer Shelton. He is survived by: his significant other Kelly Shelton; his sons, Austin Gibson (Jasmine) and Britton Gibson; his grandchildren, Aaliayah, Jaxson, Alaina and Jaystin; and his siblings, Carl Shelton (Lisa) and Ginger Shelton.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors - Borger (314 S Hedgecoke St, Borger, TX 79007). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Highland Park Cemetery (931 Sterling St, Borger, TX 79007).
