He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Cecil Gibbs and Reba Earl Scott Gibbs; his wife Kathy Gibbs; and his siblings, Wanda Melvin, Annette Brooks, Sandra Joslin and Ken "Butch" Gibbs.

He is survived by: his children, Sharon Dimicelli of Sugar Land, Rachael Anderson of Brookshire and Les Gibbs (Robin) of Haymarket, Virginia; his grandchildren, Kalee Anderson (Kit Leonard), Nick (Marissa Anderson), Emma Dimicelli, Sammy Dimicelli, Tyler Gibbs, Lucas Gibbs, Katelyn Gibbs, Jake Earp and Charleigh Earp; and his brothers, Don Gibbs (Reda) of Fritch and Jerry "Dinky" Gibbs (Brenda) of Red Oak. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.

In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to the Razorback Foundation.
