He was predeceased by: his parents, J. T. Shelton and Estelle Shelton. He is survived by: his wife Mary Katherine Shelton; his children, Dawne Bowen (Spencer) of Monticello, Jarae Scruggs (David) of Bowie and Lance Shelton (Elizabeth) of Ardmore, Oklahoma; his sister Ilene Zimmerman (Phil) of Duncan, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Landon (Patricia Espinoza), Lane (Jolie) of Bowie, Logan Scruggs of Bowie, Layton, Landry Shelton of Decatur, Cole Bowen of Jacksonville, Florida, Kinsey Shelton Odirico (Dante) and Addie Bowen of Tallahassee Florida; and his great grandchild Scarlett Scruggs of Bowie. He is also survived by 5 nieces and 1 nephew.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family request that you make a donation to the Bowie First Methodist Church, Bowie Mission, Bowie Athletic Booster Club, or Tunnel to Towers.
