He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Amsey and Eula Belle Boyd (Akins); his son Bryce Kent Boyd; his siblings, Donald Dean Boyd, Joe Arnold Boyd, Ricky Carroll Boyd, Jerrell Roger Boyd, Sheridan Ann Boyd and Bonita Francis Boyd; and his siblings-in-law, James Barker and Wilma Dean Kistler.
He is survived by: his sons, William Lynn Boyd of Hillsboro, OR and Joseph Sterling Boyd of Mesquite, NV; his siblings, Norris Wayne Boyd (Carolyn) of Rosston, Doyle Vane Boyd of Houston, Donna Gayle Vann (Tony) of Forestburg, Ramalee Barker of Bowie and Bobbie Dale Mitchell (Billy) of Georgia; and his former wife Linda Claudet Stradley of Tigard, OR. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the White Family Funeral Home (1418 TX-59, Bowie, TX 76230). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Perryman Cemetery.
