She was predeceased by: her parents, Leman M. Whitaker and Nancy Rachael Whitaker (Bailey); her husband Curtis D. Marlett; and her siblings, Doris A. Miller, Kay Martin and Douglas Whitaker.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Deane (Keeko) of Japan and Michelle Tran (Nghia) of Texas; her grandchildren, Kaji of Japan, Amanda (Matthew) of Frisco, Ashleigh of California and Curtis III of Colorado; her great grandchildren, Landon and Madelyn; and her brother Leon M. Whittaker. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Hawkins Funeral Home (1909 9th St, Bridgeport, TX 76426). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
