He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Gail Cox and Evelyn Phelps Kirkland; his brothers, Lawrence Cox, Rusty Cox and Steve Cox; his wife Sarah Ann Cox; and his daughter Tammy Lanee Cribbs.
He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Thompson (John) of Wichita Falls, Texas; his granddaughters, Natasha Castillo (Tony) of Fort Worth, Heather Rojas (Robert) of Midlothian, Ashley Davis of Ardmore and Harley Cribbs of Burkburnett, Texas; his sister Carolyn Lampkin; his stepmother Peggy Cox; and his sister-in-law Gloria Cox. He is also survived by two great-grandsons; nine great-granddaughters.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Owens & Brumley Funeral Home (1317 9th St, Wichita Falls, TX 76301).
