She was predeceased by: her parents, Rito Villegas and Catalina Villegas (Flores); her husband Antonio Muniz; and her sister Mary Helen Rivera. She is survived by: her children, Manuel Muniz (Kayla), Linda Laves-Webb (Luis) and Patricia Muniz (Greg); her siblings, Domingo Villegas, Ruben Villegas, Joe Villegas (Martha), Arthur Villegas, Ninfa Tannen (Peter), Hermelinda Espino (Raul), Rosario Barrera, Martha Villegas, Rachel Henshaw, Mary Villegas and Mary Ann Mendez; and her grandchildren, Asha Galvan and Tamara Gonzales. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
