She was predeceased by: her parents, Fructoso "Fred" Prendez and Gregoria Prendez (Salazar); her son Daniel Castillo; her son-in-law Alex Zapata; and her granddaughters, Paige Nicole Castillo and Adriaunna Nicole Solis.
She is survived by: her husband Mauricio Castillo, Sr. of Brady; her children, Maurice Castillo, Jr., Joe Oscar Castillo of Brady, Steven Castillo of Brady and Jessica Zapata of Brady; her daughter-in-law Renee Castillo of Brady; and her brothers, David Prendez (Estella) of St. Paul, MN and Jose Castillo of Brady. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
