He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Valdez and Estefana Valdez (Vasquez); his brother Jesse Valdez; and his nephew Stevie Valdez. He is survived by: his wife Edna Solis of Brady; his children, Michael Valdez (Angela) of Brady and Stephanie Minor (Flemmon) of College Station; and his brothers, Jerry Valdez (Carmen) of Weatherford and John Valdez (Yvonne) of Brady. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
