He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Dalton "R. D." Evans and Verna Evans (Light); his wife Sarah Dorene Elder; and his brothers, Robert Evans and Grady Evans.
He is survived by: his children, Reverend R. A. Evans, Jr. (Arlene) of San Angelo, Sam Evans (Becky) of Paradise, Calvin Evans (Delilah) of Beeville, Texas and Loretta Shields of Round Rock, Texas; and his siblings, Orvelle Evans (Thelma) of Buchanon Dam, Texas and Jimmie McFarland (Rodny) of Brady, Texas. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
