With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Edington of Brashear, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 2, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Marshall Dragoo; her husband Calvin Edington; her mother Agnes Dragoo (Carden); and her siblings, Lorraine Grice, Marilyn Womack, Joyce Currnutt, Alton Dragoo and Stanley Dragoo.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Sanders (Tommy) of Brashear and Cheryl Stewart of Sulphur Springs, Texas; her grandchildren, Aaron Sanders (Jamie), Rachel Kistler, Carley Hunt (Seth) and Megan Tingle (Johnathan); and her great grandchildren, Sydney Sanders, Ty Sanders, Calley Sanders, Katelyn Kistler, Jude Hunt, Eden Hunt, ElLee Hunt and Madelynn Tingle.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to Texans on Mission, at 5351 Catron Drive, Dallas, Texas 75227.
