He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Carl Oakes and Peggy Oakes of Frisco; his wife Mary Theresa Oakes of Brazoria; his stepson Norman A. Watson (Michelle) of Denton; and his siblings, Daryl Oakes (Alice) of Idabell, Oklahoma, Carolyn Baker (Bill) of Waco and Karen Bailey (Dennis) of Frisco. He was also cherished by 22 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
