It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Vargas of Brazoria, Texas, born in Harlingen, Texas, who passed away on April 3, 2026, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Irene Vargas; and his siblings, Victor Alvardo, Larry Rodriguez, III and Maria Castillo. He is survived by: his wife Kenja Vargas of Brazoria; his children, Colby Sims (Hilda) of Houston, Zachary Royse (Gladys) of Brazoria, Roberto Alvarez (Mari) of Brazoria and Chelsea Ponder (Shane) of Clute; his brother Mondo Vargas (Annette) of Oakley, CA; and his grandchildren, Elijah, Cheyenne, Kyndell and Jeremy. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
