He was predeceased by : his parents, Charlie Sullivan and Hazel Sullivan; his wife Dorothy Sullivan; his son Mitchel; his daughter-in-law Terry Sullivan; and his siblings, Vernell Elledge, Peggy Sullivan and Larry Sullivan.

He is survived by : his daughters, Trissie Dempsey (Mark) of Breckenridge and Jana Davis (Dennis) of Breckenridge; and his grandchildren, Todd Dempsey (Sara) of Dallas, Camri Breeding (Jeff) of Gunter, Alex Dempsey (Kenzie) of Rogers, Cade Sullivan (Megan) of Mansfield, Kelby Sullivan of Dallas, Anda Hudson (Word) of Sonora, Vance Sullivan of Breckenridge, Paxton Sullivan of Breckenridge, Kelsey Davis of Dallas and Sara King (Jake) of Dallas. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
