He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Christopher Fields and Mary Francis Hale Fields; and his daughter Cindy Jo Fields. He is survived by: his wife Betty Fields of Breckenridge; his sister Marilyn Jo Fields of Dallas; his children, Traci Fambrough (Tommy) of Aledo, Michael Fields, Jr. (Jennifer) of Longview and Megan Boukadoum (Alem) of Aledo; his grandchildren, Trey Fambrough (Tagan), Taryn Fambrough, Tristyn Sterling, Katie Pimentel (Ethan), Ryan Boukadoum, Caden Boukadoum, Kellyn Boukadoum and Evan Boukadoum; his great grandchild Nash Sterling; and his siblings-in-law, R. D. Lee and Gayle Huffman. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Stephens County Junior Livestock Show or to the Breckenridge FFA and may be left at Morehart Mortuary.
