He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Columbus Murphy and Dorothy Sandoz Murphy; his siblings, Merle Truesdell, Kathryn Whitefield, Elizabeth Coerver, Pat and Clifford Murphy; his son-in-law Butch Grogan; and his granddaughter-in-law Nadia Mueller.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his children, Brigitte Peres, Donna Flather (Randy), Dana Grogan, Michael Murphy Jr., Bo Burke, Kelly Mueller (Tom) and Steven Burke (Veronica); his grandchildren, Randi (Ross), John, Travis, Rachel, Faith (Dustin), Tara, Amanda, Annie, Andrew, Sam, Caroline, Christopher, Ian, Kevin, Cierra, Adeline and Walker; his great grandchildren, Adrian and Ryan; and his siblings-in-law, Val Coerver and Claudette Murphy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
