It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jo McCarty of Brenham, Texas, born in Harlingen, Texas, who passed away on February 15, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by : her children, Dodd (Pamela McCarty), Russell (Susan McCarty), Lura McCarty Dioguardi (Frank) and Michelle McCarty Jacobs (James); her grandchildren, Joseph McCarty, Elizabeth McCarty, James Jacobs (Cody), Tyler Jacobs, Carissa Dioguardi, Ashley Yaste, Nate Newland and Vincent Newland; her great grandchildren, Saul Dodd McCarty, Eva Jo McCarty, Violet Benton, Russell Benton, Kaitlynn Yaste, Jaxon Yaste, Landry Yaste, Zen Ira Jacobs and James Emmett Jacobs; and her cousin Janice Rankin.
