He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Stephenson and Margaret Stephenson (Hicks); and his sister Wanda Smiley. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Jenks Starbuck; his children, David Michael Stephenson and Michele Stephenson; and his siblings, Glenn, David, Raymond Stephenson, Bonnie Keeton, Betty Smith and Lorena Spainhower.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to charity of choice.
