She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Metcalf and Eva Grace Venture; and her husband J. W. "Dub" Murphy. She is survived by: her children, Dwight (Karen Dorsey), Yvonne (Terry Jackson), Larry (Cheryl Dorsey), Cheri (Ted Snelling) and Matt Murphey; and her grandchildren, Aaron Moore and Sarah Moore (Alex Wallen).
