He is survived by: his wife Connie Hatman-Place; his children, Tonja Hall (Damon), Cari Goeke (Brandt), Dana A. Place, Jeremy Baker, Jason Place, Jennifer Place (Jason), Jonathan Brieden (Kyra) and Gerald Place (Diana); his siblings, Marjorie Ann Dahse, Verdie Christine Waguespack (Michael) and Harold Lee Place (Libby); his grandchildren, Cody Beard, Jacob Bland, Colin Goeke, Emmie Goeke, Michael Cornett, Austin Cornett, Josh Cornett, Nicholas Cornett, Kinsley Brieden, Khloe Brieden, Kyri Place, Corwin McCoy and Elisa Willis; and his caregivers, Consuella Turner-Heard, Nikki Barnes and Kendra Pool. He is also survived by extended family, along with many dear friends.
