It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frederick Herbst II of Brenham, Texas, born in Borger, Texas, who passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Herbst and Isabel Teubel Herbst; and his brother Henry Herbst. He is survived by: his wife Janice Drake Herbst; his sister Katrina (Randy Jarvis); his children, Kristi (Chad Kincaid), Karl (Mary-Katherine Herbst) and Karen (David Tass); his sibling's children, Sarah (Jeff Maxcey) and Joe (Kirsti Jarvis); his grandchildren, Katie Herbst, Gareth Kincaid, Grace Herbst, Emily Herbst, Karis Kincaid, Joey Herbst, Carter Tass and Caitlyn Tass; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Luke Maxcey, Lauren Maxcey, Kinsley Jarvis and Liam Jarvis.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Brenham (408 N Baylor St, Brenham, TX 77833).
