He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Lee Hicks and Leslie Martin Stratton; and his sister Shirley Stratton Lanham. He is survived by: his wife Patty; his children, David Stratton (Julie), Mary Jo Stratton Gray (Peter) and Virginia Stratton Smith (Garland); his brother Leslie Martin Stratton, Jr.; his uncle Harold Hicks; his grandsons, Hunter Stratton and Clay Stratton; his sisters, Jennifer Weggeland, Lynn Allinson and Julie Danehey; his cousins, Paul Hicks and Greg Hicks; and his caregivers, Sally and Morris White. He is also survived by family members including the daughters.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (408 N Baylor St, Brenham, TX 77833).
