He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Hugo Tristram Engelhardt and Beulah Lillie (Karbach); and his brother Dr. Hugo Tristram Engelhardt, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Jasmin (Wagler); his daughters, Angelique Thompson of Schertz and Sabrina Engelhardt of Denver; and his grandchildren, Zachary, Anniliese, Patrick, Wade, Scarlett and Lorentz Engelhardt. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and dear friends.
A rosary was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church. A Mass was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Prairie Lea Cemetery (1004 Prairie Lea St, Brenham, TX 77833).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in John's name to Catholic Charities.
